A job description is essential for volunteers as it gives them a roadmap to the success of your event.
It reduces the feeling of uncertainty as to what their job functions are. These duties should include but are not limited to: pre-party decoration, guest welcoming and hospitality, check-in and check-out. Also include any duties which are required during the event as well as afterwards.
Do you require your volunteers to arrive early and stay late? Don’t forget that volunteers, too, have needs. Please make arrangements for breaks, food and refreshments – a sure way to keep them
